At Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we have a large team of skilled community Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) who work in education settings locally and across London. Over the last year, we have successfully delivered Speech and Language Therapy to children virtually via video at school and at home.
We have developed a range of digital group interventions for children to be able to:
- Access regular Speech and Language Therapy delivered by a qualified therapist
- Meet peers with similar profiles
- Be supported by staff who embed strategies to support communication across the school day
- Access activities and consistent strategies for support at home
